We focus on medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, serious truck and auto accidents, products liability, offshore injuries and other serious personal injuries. We often form a team with the client's personal or family lawyer to take these special cases to trial. We work on a contingent fee basis. This means we are paid a fee only if we produce a successful result for our clients. Consultations are free.

Philip Hunter and John Morton have been partners for 18 years. Both are graduates of LSU Law School, John in 1983, and Phil in 1976. John joined the firm in 1983, directly after graduation from LSU. Phil joined the firm in 1980 after completing his clerkship for Hon. William A. Culpepper, Chief Judge of the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal and after working as an Assistant District Attorney for three years. We have an experienced staff with specialized skills in our practice areas. Heidel Schneider, also an LSU graduate, joined the firm this year.

Phil Hunter was elected President of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association in 1995. The LTLA is the statewide group of 2,000 lawyers who represent injured people. John Morton was named chairman of the Medical Malpractice Litigation Group of the LTLA. Phil lectures regularly to lawyers and judges at continuing legal education seminars. John is also a CLE lecturer and has appeared on national television (CBS's "Eye On America") to explain the pioneering use of computer-generated graphic evidence in a case he successfully tried.

Phil authored a chapter in a law book entitled "Louisiana Practice Guide". Phil has served as President of the Alexandria Bar Association, and has been elected several times to the House of Delegates of the Louisiana State Bar Association. Phil and John and their firm have been awarded "A-V" ratings in the authoritative Martindale-Hubbel law directory. The "A-V" rating is the highest awarded by Martindale, and is based on a survey of attorneys who practice in the same area.
